Power-Mate is an important component of the Energy Toolkits provided by government energy managers.

It is an extremely useful energy auditing tool especially for

• measuring the amount of power drawn by an electrical appliance (wattage)
• recording an appliance's electricity consumption, running costs and greenhouse gas emissions
• estimating its hourly, quarterly and yearly electricity consumption, running costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
